Large oblong 2° (441 x 580mm). 2pp. letterpress description. Lithographic title with vignette and 4 lithographic plates by and after McCurdy, all on mounted india paper, printed by Engelmann, Graf, Coindet & Co. Original brown paper wrappers, lithographic title with vignette on upper cover (backstrip split, small tears to extremities). Abbey notes that the work was published 'at 15s. plain, and 21s. India Proofs, whether coloured is not stated in the publisher's advertisement'. Cf. Abbey Travel II, 456 (hand-coloured issue); cf. Schwerdt II, p.1 (hand-coloured issue).

Lithographed throughout, title with hand-coloured vignette, 3 hand-coloured plates, all by W.L. Walton after McCurdy, printed by Charles Hullmandel. (Small marginal tears, some light soiling.) Original brown paper wrappers, lithographic title with vignette on upper cover (rebacked, some creasing to covers). Fine quality hand-coloured plates, the text beneath each image identifies the buildings in each plate, either by function or by owner. The work seems to have been intended as a supplement to the previous work. (2)
