A FINE WHITE JADE CUP STAND AND A WHITE JADE CUP
Cup stand Qianlong period (1736-1795); cup 19th century
The cup stand of lobed quatrefoil shape, finely carved in the center with a raised platform with radiating petals surrounding a central shou character, the translucent stone of even 'mutton fat' white tone; the deep cup flanked by a pair of stylized dragon handles, the translucent stone of even white tone with an area of brown mottling on one side above the foot
Cup stand 4¾in. (12cm.) across; cup 2¼in. (5.5cm.) high (2)
