An Ivory Netsuke, an Ebony Netsuke and two Wood Netsuke**
Edo-Meiji period (late 19th century), the third signed Gyokusen, the fourth signed Seizan
The first carved as a standing immortal holding a partially unrolled handscroll; the second carved as the immortal Gama with his three-legged toad companion climbing on his shoulder; the third carved as a demon running in fear as a bee alights on his head, the bee's and demon's eyes inlaid in dark horn, the button on the back of the demon's britches ivory; the fourth carved as a man kneeling with a folded fan at his knees, his eyes inlaid in dark horn
