The inlaid piece of copper is from John Mills house of Bounty fame. Pitcairn Island October 10, 1937. Son of the Chief Magistrate Edgar Christian.' within a decorated border, the body inlaid with a piece of copper stamped 'BOUNTY'S COPPER' around the circumference, a further piece of copper labelled 'FOUND ON SITE OF JOHN MILL'S HOUSE. PITCAIRN 1° CUT FROM BOLT H.M.S. BOUNTY', the candlestick 10in. (25.4cm.) high.
