[Bound with:] Anti-Slavery Jubilee, 1884: Meeting of the British ands Foreign Anti-Slavery Society in the Free Trade Hall, Manchester, on the 23rd October, under the Presidency of James F. Hutton, [London: 1884?]. 2 wood-engraved plates. Contemporary brown morocco, upper cover stamped in gilt with Prince of Wales feathers and title "Anti-Slavery Jubilee 1884". PRESENTATION COPY, front blank inscribed "Presented to Henry M. Stanley Esq. by his sincere friend Chas. H. Allen June 1890". A long, informative and impassioned speech, given by Stanley at Manchester, is recorded on pp. 21-31; Charles Allen was, at this date, secretary to the Anti-Slavery Society.
