A Tour, performed in the years 1795-6, through the Taurida, or Crimea, London: Nichols and Son for T. Cadell jun. and W. Davies, 1802. 4° (263 x 205mm.). 2 folding engraved maps and 11 engraved plates. (Cc2 with marginal repair, occasional spotting and dampstaining.) Contemporary half calf (lower cover detached, panel at head of spine torn away, rubbed). FIRST EDITION. Lowndes 3, 959-60: "A lively description of the various tribes that inhabit the Crimea. The part which relates to antiquities was written by Dr. Matthew Guthrie."

Christoph Hermann von MANSTEIN. Memoirs of Russia, Historical, Political and Military, from the year MDCCXXVII to MDCCXLIV, London: printed for T. Becket and P. A. De Hondt, 1770. 10 engraved folding maps and plans. (A few maps with short tears, map 9 with medium tear, occasional light spotting and browning). Contemporary calf (joints splitting, corners bumped, a little rubbed and scuffed). Provenance: Lopes (bookplate). Lowndes 4, 1466: FIRST ENGLISH EDITION. "A work of authority, illustrated with maps and plans. The recommendatory address was written by David Hume."
