A Venetian bowl and cover and a façon de Venise bowl and cover
18th Century and 19th Century, probably Murano
The first of straight-sided form applied with two ear-shaped handles, the lower part gadrooned and on a circular foot, the conical cover moulded with gadroons, the finial modelled as a bouquet of pink flowers with green leaves (losses to finial, slight crisselling), 5½ in. (14 cm.) wide; the globular bowl on a short foot and applied with prunts linked by looped ornament and crimped vertical trails, the conical cover with prunts and trails, the finial with a prunt, 4½ in. (11.5 cm.) high
