A façon de Venise 'cold-painted' albarello
19th Century
Of green tint, of straight-sided cylindrical form with kick-in base, decorated a freddo with the arms of Medici on an oval escutcheon encircled by a chain suspending the Order of the Golden Fleece and surmounted by a bird flanked by two cherubs holding a crown, the reverse painted with a colourful bird perched among scrolling flowers and foliage, the neck and shoulder with a geometric pattern of dots and wavy lines (some wear to decoration)
