Two engraved opaque-twist wine-glasses and a drawn-trumpet wine-glass
Circa 1765 and circa 1750
Comprising: a wine-glass with an ovoid bowl engraved with a sunflower on a leafy stem and a moth, the stem enclosing a corkscrew core entwined with two multi-ply threads, on a conical foot, 4 7/8 in. (12.5 cm.)(minute rim chip); a wine-glass with an ogee bowl engraved with a bird in flight and fruiting vine, the stem with a gauze core entwined by a multi-ply ribbon, on a conical foot, 4 7/8 in. (12.5 cm.) high; and a drawn-trumpet wine-glass, the stem with an air inclusion, on a conical foot with folded footrim, 6½ in. (16.5 cm.) high (3)
