Mark of Iwan Petrowitsch Chlebnikow, Moscow, 1874, also struck with later Dutch duty mark of 1906-1953
The body of the circular sauce-boat with a lower band of engraved arches and a smaller band of triangles above, plain mid-part, shaped short spout, partly fluted and bone handle, the upper part of the body with a band of curves, detachable conforming cover with cockerel head finial, inside gilding, the cirular stand on three shaped feet decorated with geometrical forms against matted ground, rope upper band with curved rim above, marked on base boat, inside cover and feet stand
