A Russian silver-gilt coffee service
Bearing marks of Fabergé
Comprising: an oblong tray with incurved corners and reeded border, a band of vertical chasing and rocaillework, the centre engraved with a crowned monogram ES and the dates 1847 14 Mai 1897; a small coffee pot, cream jug and sugarbowl, each shaped hemispherical with incurved corners chased with acanthus, part fluted on four cast foliate feet, with foliage-capped angular handles, the coffee pot with hinged slightly domed panelled cover with ball finial; a gilt spoon, thread and foliate pattern with husking to reverse of the bowl, inscribed with crowned monogram ES, a pair of gilt sugar tongs, of similar pattern and monogram; also two white porcelain demitasse cups and saucers with green and red borders (one cup damaged), marked on base, body, inside and on bowl
