Mark of Jacobus Das, Amsterdam, 1744, also struck with later Dutch duty mark of 1814-1893
Oblong with shaped ends and raised flat hinged cover, the sides decorated with trelliswork, the base and cover with a band of fish skin, the cover with flowers and scrolls, moulded reeded rims, marked inside box and cover
