Mark of Johann Daniel Thöl, Preetz/Holstein, circa 1800, also struck 12L
Oval, the tureen on oval domed foot, short stem, the plain body with an upper band engraved with foliage and acorns, two lion heads with ring handle, detachable domed cover with stylised leaves and large openworked ball finial, inside gilding, base pricked with 263 1/2 Zogt No 1, the oval stand with engraved leaves border, domed oval centre with openworked gallery, base pricked with 155 1/2 Zogt No 1, marked on base stand, footrim tureen
