Mark of Martinus van Stapele, The Hague, 1792, also struck with later Dutch duty mark of 1795 for The Hague
Each vase-shaped, on plain circular foot rising to a short plain stem, the fluted body with a lower band of stylised vertical leaves and an upper band of engraved rectangles and flowerheads against matted ground, plain neck, detachable high domed cover, pierced and engraved into vertical bands of ovals, flowers and navettes, pine-cone finial, beaded rims, marked inside and outside footrim
