INDIA, 19TH CENTURY
The gently curving watered steel single-edged blade with grooves and runners containing ball bearings, a six-petalled flower inlaid with turquoises and rubies at top and bottom of each side of the blade, the silver-gilt hilt richly engraved with floral motifs and animals and inlaid with turquoises, rubies and emeralds, the parcel-gilt scabbard pierced around scenes of elephants fighting and hunting scenes with engraved details, rubbing to high points, fitted case
