The first signed (san?) ...raku, 19th Century
Comprising a wood nestuke of three conjoined masks, one almost completely concealed, one with mother-of-pearl inlays for the eyes, 3.8 cm. long; a red and gilt lacquered wood Kyogen mask netsuke, carved with one larger eye, 5 cm. long; and an ivory manju netsuke, carved with a crane and male figure, the reverse with pine, central section missing, 5.5 cm. diam. (3)
