Decorated in gold, silver and iroe hiramaki-e, togidashi and kirikane with bamboo issuing behind a wall on a riverbank and covered in snow, the inner lid in takamaki-e, nashiji and hirame with prunus branches, the interior fitted with a tray depicting bamboo shoots, the adjoining base fitted with a kidney-shaped suiteki, inkstone missing, minor wear
