A FINE ACHAEMENID REPOUSSÉ SILVER LOTUS BOWL
EARLY 5TH CENTURY B.C.
Of shallow hammered form with broad everted rim, the exterior with ornamental radiating garland of eight open lotus flowers with delicately chased petals, alternating with eight lotus buds, each with triple collar and arching stems, the interior with the same indented decoration surrounding a central incised tondo
