LOTS 30-39 The following ten watercolours executed between 1916 and 1917 are the original drawings for a set of twelve prints, limited to 150 sets, which were published in 1919 and distributed by Thorburn's dealers A. Baird Carter and W.F. Embleton. The present watercolours are remarkable for their detailed execution and fine condition. In each watercolour Thorburn manages to convey not only the character of the bird, but the habitat and terrain over which they hunt.
