A BYZANTINE BRONZE CENSER
CIRCA 6TH CENTURY A.D.
The circular bowl on ring foot, incised concentric rings around the exterior, three suspension chains attached to rim lugs, the chains attached to upper terminal in the form of a cross with hook above; and a Byzantine bronze handled deep bowl with nine petals radiating from the centre, two rows of overlapping lobes above, vertical loop side handle attached with two rivets, circa late 6th Century A.D.
