A PAIR OF ROMAN GOLD EARRINGS
CIRCA 2ND CENTURY A.D.
Each with hollow navicella-shaped body, with two suspension loops with wavy wire terminals, threaded with a horizontal ear wire with convex disc as a terminal, ¾ in. (1.9 cm.) long; a pair of Roman gold earrings, each with wire ear hoop hung with collared large pendant sphere terminating in an inverted pyramidal cluster of small spheres, 2nd-3rd Century A.D., 1 3/8 in. (3.5 cm.) long; and another pair of Roman gold earrings, each with convex disc with hollow pendant flower bud and reverse with dotted 'inscription', 's'-shaped ear wire behind, 1st-2nd Century A.D., 7/8 in. (2.2 cm.) long (6)
