AN ETRUSCAN BRONZE LION HEAD PROTOME
CIRCA LATE 6TH CENTURY B.C.
The lion head with open jaw and protruding tongue, eyes recessed for inlay, with remains of bronze and iron furniture(?) attachment below; and a Greek bronze twin forked hair pin, with torus roll decoration above and knopped finial, circa 6th Century B.C.
2 7/8 in. (7.3 cm.) high and 3 7/8 in. (9.9 cm.) long respectively (2)
