Pauillac, 1er cru classé. Château-bottled
Lot 83 badly bin-soiled and damaged labels. Levels: one just below top-shoulder, two upper, one mid/upper and one mid-shoulder. Lot 84 two capsules corroded. Three labels slightly bin-soiled and one badly bin-soiled. Levels: two base of neck and four top-shoulder (two of these with cut capsules and remains of labels only, illegible)
Tasting note: .....many five star notes - gentle, spicy, silky tannins, a certain delicacy and always great length, its bouquet, initially fragrant, rich and cedary, opening up in the glass providing extra dimensions. It has the sweetness of fully ripe grapes and alcohol, a mouth-filling flavour, very good tannins and acidity. Complete. Last tasted May 1999. M.B. *****
