A CARVED JADEITE BUDAI BUDDHA
The thick near colourless material of good translucency, suffused with occasional dark green veins with a small patch of brown, well carved as a smiling buddha in a loose robe open at the chest to expose his chest and ample belly, seated on a sack with his right hand holding a rosary resting on his raised right knee, with boys forlicking and clambering all over him, two boys with their hands in a blessing gesture, one playing with the rosary, one holding an ingot and one carrying a brown ingot with a brown ribbon, 5.0 cm. high
