A GROUP OF CARVED JADEITE HORSES
Comprising eight carved jadeite horses in different poses and moods; a grazing horse carved from semi-opaque mottled deep green material with dark green patches and splashes; a kicking horse carved from semi-translucent celadon material with sections of rich honey colour; two galloping horses, one carved from translucent pale celadon material suffused with honey yellow splashes, and the other from translucent pale apple green material with a few streaks of bright apple green; a prancing horse carved from semi-translucent pale lavender jadeite; three self-grooming horses, the first and second carved from semi-translucent materials in honey yellow tone with a patch of honey colour on the mane or in pale green tone suffused with green and dark green splashes, and the third carved from opaque black material, horses ranging from 5.1 to 8.0 cm. high, in a wooden fitted box
With certificate JC26111 dated 5 September 2003 from the Hong Kong Jade & Stone Laboratory stating that a random test on one of the horses is natural jadeite and no polymer is detected
