The navette-shaped crib with padded deep-buttoned cream-silk-lined interior and pierced entrelac frieze, above panelled sides separated by guilloche banding, on fluted trestle supports joined by a shaped stretcher, one end issuing a fluted veil support with trailing laurel and scrolled acanthus terminal, the interior branded twice with BETTENFELD PARIS
Overall: 81 in. (205.7 cm.) high; 47 in. (119.4 cm.) wide; 27 in. (68.7 cm.) deep

The Bettenfeld atelier was established on passage de la Bonne-Graine, Paris, at the end of the 19th century.
