A Berlin KPM porcelain jewelled pâte-sur-pâte vase and cover
Circa 1890, marked with a sceptre in underglaze blue above an orb and KPM in red, further with various impressed and written marks
Of Apothekerbüchse form, gilt and painted in colours, the ovoid body decorated with a frontal neo-rococo-type cartouche enclosing a pâte-sur-pâte scene of three putti playing music on a pale brownish Seladonfond, the reverse with a bunch of botanical flowers, further applied with gilt rocailles and trelliswork in slight relief, enhanced with jewelled motifs, the domed cover en suite with scroll finial
