A Minton 'Newcastle pierced' ivory-ground part dessert-service
Year cyphers for 1882, impressed marks, pattern no. G4208, printed globe and retailers marks for Phillips & Pearce, New Bond St. London
Painted in raised enamels with specimen sprays of flowers among ferns and grasses, the leaves and stems in raised silver and gilt, the pierced borders with lesser sprays in gilt scroll quatrefoil cartouches, comrpising:
A flared circular basket
Eighteen plates (one plate chipped to footrim, one with staining and flaking, some rubbing)
And a pair of two-handled low comports en suite (damages)
