Lot Essay

The Milgauss model was designed for use in areas of high electro-magnetic fields, laboratories and electro-engineering. One of the most distinctive of all Rolex 'Sports' models, the 1019 was the last 'tool' watch designed for a specific activity to be produced by the company.

For the Milgauss reference 1019 model with black dial see lot 18 in this sale.

For a model from the first generation of the Milgauss, reference 6541 from 1958, see lot 20.
