A FINE COPY. Il Mattino and Il Mezzogiorno, first published in 1763 and 1765 respectively, formed the first half of Il Giorno, Parini's satyrical poem on the vices of the nobility, on which his poetical fame rests. The two concluding poems, Il Vespro and La Notte, were both published posthumously in 1801. Brooks 780.
