The six 'Farmer's Letters to the Protestants of Ireland' are written by Brooke although attributed in the advertisement to George Berkeley; the other important subjects are by Montanus, i.e. T. Gordon.

Reprinted in Dublin a year later, and also issued as part of The Temple of Fame: or, The Sc--d---l---s Chronicle for the year 1748. The young gentleman=Henry Sydenham, as a ms note records. SCARCE. Based on the detailed account which Henry Fielding publishd weekly in The True Patriot. The battle plans, with interpolated text, are not in the London edition, Cross wrongly stating that this was 'never reprinted.' Cf.
