A FINE FAMILLE ROSE MEISSEN-STYLE DISH
Circa 1740
Finely and delicately enamelled at the centre with a long-tailed bird hovering in flight above another perched on rockwork beside large peony and chrysanthemum sprays and a gilt cluster of bamboo, a third smaller bird perched on a branch above them, within a gilt band of lacework in the well, the wide border decorated with bianco-sopra-bianco flowering foliage, reserved with three camaïeu rose landscape cartouches
