Lot Essay

This table bears a paper label beneath the top which reads 'H.W. Beaumont, Carpenter, Undertaker, House Agent, 1 Stour Mills, Bathside, Harwich'; the address of the customer is indistinct and the label is dated 1904.

This table was included in the exhibition 'Cottage and Farmhouse Furniture in East Anglia', sponsored by the Norfolk Museums Service and curated by Dr B Cotton (1987) and is discussed and illustrated in the exhibition catalogue (p.24).
