A repousse parcel-gilt copper chased model of Guanyin, 17th Century
her hair tied in a chignon secured by a ruyi-head diadem and pin, and partially wrapped in a cloth decorated with foliate and leaf sprays, seated holding a scroll in one hand, the serene immortal wearing robes opened at the chest revealing a ruyi-head necklace, her robes decorated in relief with phoenix and foliage and incised with scrolling decoration -- 9¼in. (23.5cm.) high.
