A band sampler, worked with initials, dated 1680, embroidered in coloured and self coloured silks on alinen ground, the upper section with border patterns, geometric motifs, alphabets and numerlas, the lower section with alarge flower and the Lamb of God--39 x 12in. (100 x30cm.)
