Chancery 2° (294 x 208mm). Greek and roman type, initials in red. (Wormholes, heavier at end, light marginal dampstain.) Contemporary German blindstamped pigskin over unbevelled wooden boards, spine painted grey, later paper label (without clasp, small wormholes, lightly worn). Provenance: Joannes Jacobus ?Vorher (16th-century inscription) -- Frauenfeld, Switzerland, Capuchin convent (inscriptions and stamps, interlinear annotations at beginning) -- Arthur Mullin (modern bookplate).
