CHARLES II. Document signed ('Charles R', at head), a list of 'the nams of the twentie fyve Commissioners Nominated by his Ma[jes]tie for the kingdome of Scotland to the treatie of unione', n.p., n.d. [1670], including three names cancelled, and substitutions, one page, 4to; John Wilmot, 2nd Earl of ROCHESTER. Document signed, 14 January 1678, appointing James Chase as his agent to receive money due to him as a Gentleman of the Bedchamber including his 'severall Penc[io]ns or Annuitys', one page, 4to, seal (19th-century theatre bill tipped on to verso, worn, dust-stained, tape repair); George Villiers, 1st Duke of BUCKINGHAM. Autograph note signed ('G. Buckingham') beneath a memorandum signed referring to his niece's marriage settlement, [28 April 1627], one page, folio; and an autograph letter signed by his wife, 'K[atherine] Buckingham' to the Duke, begging leave to accompany 'the wenches' to Oatlands, one page, folio, seal; Sir Henry VANE the Younger. Two documents signed as member of the Committee for Public Revenue, 16 May and 11 June 1649, an order to the Court of Wards to submit accounts of payments due to the late King Charles I, and an order to pay the salary of Richard Keeble, the new Commissioner of the Privy Seal, 2 pages, folio; Robert BLAKE. Document signed, Whitehall, 14 March 1650, a warrant to Captain William Haddock, commander of the America, to seize French and Portuguese ships, and those of the Scots 'who are in actuall hostillity against the Parliam[en]t and Commonwealth of England', 1½ pages, folio, papered seal; George MONCK, 1st Duke of Albemarle. Letter signed ('Albemarle') to Sir William Compton (Master of the Ordinance), 'at the Cockpitt', 12 August 1662, an order for powder and matches, 1/2 page, 4to (browned, fraying at edges);
