September had saved the vintage, giving, according to Latour's own records, a "gracious wine of average concentration." Now the colour is clear garnet with amber edge, the nose showing fine, sweet perfume with no sign of decay. Surprisingly full, with grainy texture and fresh, crisp finish. AH.
