Two Irish by Samuel Dixon, Circa 1755, two third quarter 18th Century
One depicting a Canary amongst flowers with a paper dedication label to the reverse to the R.H. Countess of Cork, another depicting an Indian bee-eater, an Indian starling and a Brasilian finch all amongst branches and foliage, with a paper dedication label to ther reverse to the R.H. Lady Howth, both by Dixon, the other two similarly executed, one with a three bird composition, the other with a single bird, both with repainting, all in black and gilt-japanned frames
