A Meissen figure of a vegetable seller
Circa 1745, blue crossed swords mark at back
Modelled by J.F. Eberlein, wearing a wide-brimmed straw hat, white blouse, yellow bodice and a pink skirt, with a pile of root vegetables in her apron, standing barefoot before rocks on a circular mound base applied with flowers and foliage (right hand a replacement, hat broken through and restored, small chip to one vegetable, very slight chipping to leaves)
