A Frankenthal figure of Jupiter
Circa 1765, blue rampant lion mark, impressed PH 9 (?)
The bearded god wearing a gilt crown and looking down slightly, scantily clad in a long puce robe with purple scale ornament wrapped around his left arm and his loins, standing barefoot on a purple cloud, his right hand raised up with thunderbolts, his left hand resting on the neck of a large black eagle perched next to him (restoration to eagle, very slight chipping to crown, small chip to underside edge of robe, minute flaking to purple enamel of cloud)
