A BEARING SWORD, A SHORTSWORD IN MEDIEVAL STYLE, AND A LEFT-HAND DAGGER
Each 19th Century
The first with straight tapering blade engraved at the forte with cabbalistic symbols, brass hilt incised with further cabbalistic symbols, cross-cut brass pommel, wire-bound grip, and iron-mounted leather-covered wooden scabbard; the second with flat tapering double-edged iron blade in artificially excavated condition with a central fuller on both faces, downturned swelling silver quillons, ivory grip with a line of dots within circles along each side (minor cracks), and silver brazil-nut pommel, in brass-mounted leather scabbard (leather worn); the third with leaf-shaped blade waisted at the ricasso, two short fullers and a raised rib along each side of the forte, flat arched iron quillons, narwhale-tusk grip (cracked), and globose iron pommel
