A French engraved gilt-brass small striking and repeating carriage clock with alarm, circa 1870
The gorge case engraved with foliate designs, with conforming mask to the white enamel Roman chapter disc, signed LEROY & FILS HRS/PALAIS ROYAL 13 & 15/PARIS, blued steel moon hands, subsidiary alarm disc below, the eight day twin barrel movement with silvered platform to lever escapement with bimetallic balance, strike/repeat/alarm on bell to back plate with repeat signature and numbered 958 -- 4 5/8in. (11.75cm.) high to hilt of handle
