With brass handle to bell top, formerly with finials to the angles, with silk-backed cast brass panels to the sides, bust and foliate mounts to the front angles and foliate cast quarter frets to the front door, on bracket feet, with foliate scroll spandrels to silvered Roman and Arabic chapter ring, matted centre signed on a recessed silvered plaque Spencer & Perkins/London, blued steel hands, later plaque below, with date ring in the arch above, the eight day five pillar movement now with twin chain fusees and converted to anchor escapement, lacking date, repeat work and movement securing brackets, now quarter striking on one bell with two hammers, the back plate engraved with foliate scrolls and a fruiting basket; the movement formerly single train with pull repeat and alarm, movement and dial associated to case -- 18¾in. (47.5cm.) high to hilt of handle
