Lot Essay

Ludwig Friedrich was born on 4 November 1681 and died on 3 April 1763.
Sophia Katharina was born on 13 March 1688 and died on 23 January 1748.
These pictures are early 20th century copies after 18th century portraits of the Schönburg-Waldenburg family by an unknown artist. It was common practice to order copies for those family members who did not inherit the originals.
