Punkinhead was made exclusivley as the mascot for Eaton's department store in Toronto, Canada. He became the hero of several storybooks, as well as the leader of the annual Santa Claus parade.

A rare Merrythought 'Punkinhead' teddy bear
with brown mohair, clear and black glass eyes, inset velvet muzzle, black stitched nose and mouth, golden mohair inner ear and chest, long white mohair scalp, swivel head, jointed limbs with velvet feet and original yellow felt shorts --9½in. (24cm.) high, circa 1951 (repairs to feet and slight general wear)
