Published Naples circa 1800
These designs derive from decorative panels painted by Rafael Sanzio (1483-1520) for the chamber of Cardinal Bibbiena in the Vatican. A copy of Maestri's original etching with engraving is held in the Print Collection of the Smithsonian Institute and was exhibited in 'Building a National Collection, 150 Years of Print Collecting at the Smithsonian'
