A ZUNI POLYCHROME JAR
with concave base, and rounded body sloping inward to rim, painted in red and dark brown over a chalky white slip, with a pair of scalloped medallions, alternating with panels of stylized "daggers" in two registers, a narrow band of long-tailed birds between them, with a band of similar motifs about the neck, hatched and cross-hatched details, inscribed on the side, XZU-79-6 and on the base, 1976.11
