A British Class B Pond Model
Anonymous; British, 20th century
A fine large pond model with a built up mahogany hull, wood and lead keel, brass rudder. The deck of the model is from mahogany veneer with the planking drawn on the surface. The model is fitted with brass fittings which include: bow sprit sleeve, jib traveler, mast partners, deck plate coaming, toe rail, steering quadrant, mainsheet bridle, etc. The model is rigged with mast, topmast, boom, club booms, gaff, spreaders, mast cap, and other details. She is fitted with four sails which include: mainsail, jib, staysail and topsail. The model is displayed on a mahogany stand.
