Three Staffordshire pottery models of dogs
CIRCA 1840
The first modelled as a spaniel seated on its haunches looking to the right wearing a gilt padlocked collar, its coat enriched in iron-red patches, on a raised mound base, the second modelled as a dog lying on the ground looking to the left, its coat painted wth patches of dark-brown, on a gilt scroll-moulded base (rubbing to gilding), the third modelled as a pen rest of cushion-form with two dogs with black and brown coats, playing to the top before two pen apertures, the base painted in dark-blue, green and orange (rubbing to enamels)
